Dear Friends of Mental Health Connect,
It’s been almost two months since our “Stories of Hope” Fundraiser Breakfast, and we’re still feeling so proud and grateful for that morning together. We had around 280 people there, which was a significant increase from past years, and it was fun to see so many faces—both familiar and new—in the space together. Watch the Stories of Hope Recording HERE.
We also felt really great about the level of sponsorship this year. We had nine sponsors, three of which were new this year. A few of our sponsors whose work is particularly connected to the topic of youth mental health had resource tables near our MHC table upstairs to provide an opportunity for all of us to learn more about what they do. We’re grateful for their support—as well as the important work they do in helping young people.
The planning team had a stretch goal to raise $40,000. And, while gifts are still coming in, we’re within $2000 of that goal, so we’re feeling very pleased and thankful! We think it’s likely we’ll reach that goal in the coming days, but if you want to help make sure we surpass it, we’d welcome additional gifts! You can donate here and put Stories of Hope in the subject line.
I’m aware in the midst of these gratitudes that the world around us feels particularly unstable, and certain structures around mental health support are crumbling. It’s a pivotal, critical time, and we are more committed than ever to the work we’re engaged in together—the work of bringing about faith communities with no mental health stigma. This year’s “Stories of Hope” was one expression of our collective hope. Thank you!
With Gratitude and Hope,
Rev. Hannah Campbell Gustafson, Executive Director for Mental Health Connect
